MERLIN Properties | 85 (1) The total surface area of the assets has been considered in the calculation of energy intensity, except in those cases where MERLIN only has control over the management of consumption in the common areas, in which case only the surface area of these common areas is considered. In accordance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, MERLIN employs a systematic approach to waste management for its portfolio based on waste segregation by type at source, including classification into hazardous and non- hazardous waste.
