Furthermore, nearly all the waste managed goes through recovery processing of some sort. The quantities of waste that undergo some sort of treatment are depicted below by asset class. The like for like increase corresponds mainly to the contracting of the management of certain types of waste with an authorised waste manager, which were previously managed through municipal waste collections. Having in mind the nature of the activities carried on by the Group, the amount of hazardous waste generated at its assets is significantly lower than the non-hazardous waste in terms of weight.
